BOARD MEMBER VACANCY

CRDB Bank Burundi S.A. is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the existing vacant position for the Board of Director. CRDB Bank Plc is the leading bank, wholly owned private commercial Bank operating in Tanzania and Burundi.

The Board of Directors of CRDB Bank Burundi S.A. invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill one (1) position of Non-Executive Director.
Requirements
1. Expertise in Economics, Finance, Banking and Business Management. Experience in corporate governance will be an added advantage.
2. Applicant should have at least 3 years' experience at Board level.
3. Applicants are required to observe the requirements of Article 4 Section (b) of Circular number 15/2018 of Central Bank of Burundi bearing on Approval of Executive Managers and Board Directors of Credit Institutions, which, amongst other things, provide for the qualifications that are required for applicants to possess.
4. The applicant should not be a politician, bankrupt, under 21 years of age or more than 70 years of age and should also meet the integrity and honorability criteria
as stipulated in Article 15 of the law number 1/17 of 22nd August 2017 bearing on banking activities.
5. The applicant should be residing in Burundi.
Mode of Application
1. Applicant for the position of Non-Executive Director should not be a Shareholder of CRDB Bank Plc, an employee of the bank/shareholder or have a relationship to the Management or the Board.
2. Applicant should be conversant and fluent with both written and spoken English and French.

4. Qualified and experienced candidates are requested to apply and submit an application letter, curriculum vitae, certified copies of relevant academic and professional certificates and awards, two passport size photographs, certified copies of the last page of their passport, letters of recommendation from 3 referees and declaration of indebtedness to Banks.
